I am planning a fairly neat diorama involving WWII US Navy/Marine airmen and mechanics. However I am having a tough time locating these figures. The plane is 1/48 scale. Does anyone have any suggestions?

I found a couple you might be able to use.

USAF Pilots and Ground Personnel (1941-1945)

Hi S.B.
the ICM Figures are nice, but the Hasegawas are medioce (but maybe try to get their Jeep as it has a nice driver).
There are some US aircrew in the Hecker und Goros programme, but only a few of them on their website http://www.hecker-goros.de
IIRC CMK has also a few pilots /air crew.
Also have a look in the Verlinden catalogue (http://www.verlinden-productions.com/) .. you'll surely find some there.
Jaguar also has a set or two designed by Mike Good!!
(I know this one is Australian ...)
HTH as a start
best wishes
Steffen
