I have just started the "Stalingrad Inferno" DML set #6343, to work on my figure skills and have some fun. If someone can give me some guidance on this set I would appreciate it. I checked for a review of the kit and did not find one so I am asking here in the forum.
My question is this, there are 4 items on the PE fret, 2 are for the rifles and or submachine gun, but the other two are much shorter and I can not figure out where they should be used. I am thinking maybe they go to the bread bag so it can hang from the suspenders, but I am not sure.
Thanks for any help!

I may be wrong .... but .... it could be that each sling is made up from 2 parts. It was this way in the Tarawa Marines. Is there buckels/clasps/other small details also? Ive not seen this set, so am only guessing.

Any chance they might be helmet straps?
IIRC, the Tarawan marines set has short PE straps to make the helmet straps unfastened, so they're hanging loose. Couple of the Gen2 German sets have the helmet straps molded on to the heads, but I don't remember this being that common in the ordinary fig sets.
