Good day to all,
Here is my M1A2 Italeri, I have been working on this off and on for the past 3 years due to my job and it almost made its way to the trash can. I want to thank all of you who provided me with feedback. I know the kit is not a 100% accurate but here you go. Hope everyone enjoys what they see. As always any feed back is welcomed!!

Looks darn good to me their Yufkey.

So kit looks pretty good also.

Even has the wiper blades Better then the Tamiya one I am building.

Great job on that Camo cover at the rear.

Did you paint that?

Only thing I would say is I did notice some shine to the gear, hit it with a Dull coat.

Overall great job

One other thing I see only one antenna.

That is all Good job troop.

Great job on the Abrams. Wow it takes 3 years to complete? If it is me, I don't have the mood or effort to finish the kit anymore, ha ha ha. The weathering is very nice on the body & wheels. But I think the tracks are too clean. Usually the tracks are the dirtiest among all, that is what I think. How do you like the kit? Do you have hard time installing & painting the track ? I heard from my friend that Italeri's tracks are easy to break if you paint them with enamel & oil paint. I have the same kit as yours and I am planning to sell it since some people said the kit is not that good especially the tracks. What do you think? What did you use for the weathering (color, type of paint, etc)? It looks nice. Thank you.

Great job on the build. Paint looks great. I notice the bumper number is of 1st battalion, 7th Infantry Regiment, 3d Infantry Division. 1-7 would not have tanks. The wheel hubs should not be painted sand. And the armored door on the gunner's sight box should be open or closed, not half-way. Someone else with more knowledge could chime in, but I'm not sure 3d ID has M1A2's. Other than that, great job. Great finish on the kit.

Your weathering job on the model is outstanding! Really well done. There a a few minor inacuracies but really know big deal. Is the cammo item on the back of the turret a poncho liner? Did you paint it yourself. If you did paint it yourself BRAVO! The only thing I would suggest for this model would be to spray the gear on the back with some dull coat. They do have a shine to them.

The poncho liner is a printout I copyed and pasted off of the Real Model web page. Then I played around reformating the size, I use 2.88 by 3.89 and you are right about the dullcoat that is my last step then I will be done. As far as the Unit marking I just went with what came in th box. All all thanks for the feed back.

Under modularity 1-7 does have tanks as the infantry and Armor Bns both have M1s and Brads. Good job .

Looks real.

Small details make a model. You notice when things are missing, but often glance over them when they are present. Stowage looks nice, and weathering / paint are fantastic.

Thanks for serving.

It's a great build. To my eye, the dark (umber?) detail washes are a bit too stark. We tend to think of dirt as dark, but in desert terrain, the dust is quite light (indeed, on dark green vehicles, like the Stryker or Italian Ariete, the recesses are lighter in color than the highlight areas). Perhaps think about redoing the washes with a lighter shade, a bit darker than the paint but lighter than the usual black or dark brown washes. Save the dark washes for actual crevices, like the gaps around the access panels on the engine deck. Alternatively, the dirt effect could be softened with artist's pastel chalks or dry pigments in a desert tone. This approach might be less stressful, since you can rinse off anything you don't like and do it again. It will also unify the tank with the stowed gear, since the same dust can be worked into the creases of the fabric and straps.

Sort of... Under the new Modular BDE design, 1-7 does have 2 tank PLTs and 2 Brad PLTs. However, they are no longer called 1-7 Infantry, but 1-7 CAB (Combined Arms Battalion) and their new bumper numbers reflect it as 3I 1-7 CAB. Also, 3 ID does not have any M1A2s assigned. They are all M1A1s. Just because the decals came with the model doesn't make them correct.

That is what is so screwy about the Army 4th ID and 1CD do not use the CAB designation on their vehicles. so youll see and M1A2 with 1-22 IN markings and a Brad wiht 3-67 Ar markings. You think it would be standard but then I should know better

Great job. Love the subtle weathering and the stowage. Good that you did not send it to the trash can. That would been a crime!

Thanks for sharing

Though and well used Abrams. Good job Yufkey. The poncho liner is a very nice touch.
