19 March 2003. History will remember this as a good day to start a new
campaign.
Now we kicked off, we can start thinking about a subject.

If I understand correctly, we need one or two soldiers plus one or two
civilians with a water feature. Possibilities galore. Makes my fingers itch and my mouth
water...

- Vietnam ? Soldiers controlling small boat on the river ? US soldier with Vietnamese girl on the back of his scooter, near a waterfall or a small city fountain ?
- A lady washing socks and shirts in a tub while talking to two GI's in Holland in 1944 ?
- Two kids in Northern Ireland playfully chasing eachother with a waterhose while British troops watch them ?
- Italian soldier and young lady embracing near a Roman fountain ?
- Two US soldiers filling a jerrycan with water from a tank while two robed Kuwaiti ladies wait in line with their pots to be filled ?
- Navy diver being lowered from a helicopter to save a shipwrecked sailor from a dinghy on the ocean ?
- how hard would it be to make a shower ? A waterfall ? A 1/35 fishtank with fish in it ?

... hmmm..

Oh, the possibilities are truly endless. I am already participating in the WWII figure campaign but this one also sounds very enticing. Will I have time to do both? Dilemma, dilemma...

Must take a look in the model store and see what they have available. Maybe I´ll get hit by some inspiration! I havent got a clue what I´ll do yet.

How bout something simple, a couple of GI's walking down a road one way and a Vietnamese woman headed the other put a ditch by the road filled with muddy water. Built something similar only it's a reforger and the GI's (one of them was me) are in a jeep (mutt) pulling a trailer. The civilan was an old German guy walking his dog. Just waiting for a dog to complete it.

Splish-Splash! I was taking a bath................

Even I as many above me had several ideas planned. But there were some that was dropped due to time limit, base-size and 30$ limit.

But let me think for a while and Ill be back at it.

MAn the ideas are rapidly evolving here

I just love the 30 euro restriction again a lot of scratchbuilding .......

How about a crossection of a sewer where a couple of navy seals are checking a manhole
above there is the street where a civillian walks with his dog

Another idea that came in mind was... Same idea... Crossection of a sewer but thn in PAris nowadays. Two French Snio troopers are on training in the city of Paris and are watching through the manhole cover spotting a guy in Front of a Mc donalds eating a Hamburger

I´m thinking about a scene where a Finnish soldier with bicycle hugs his girl on a bridge. Or maybe he´s taking her off to the lake in a rowing boat...

A love scene, definitely, the soldier having night off duty before going in the action again.

Title something like: "Days of our lives" or perhaps something more dramatic, indicating that this is the last time they met... "Love at last sight?"

I like the bicicle/bridge/lovers combination... knowing your work, this will be a lovely dio ! If you do water + bridge you may end up with a big difference in height between those two...

Fall of Saigon-Army UH-1 with a few Embassy employees in it on there way to a carrier off the coast of South Vietnam.

If I keep the Slick at low level and show the water as a base wil it be allowed as a entry????

Ola everybody

I just tested the Journal entry system and I can recommend it to everybody. It works really great.. Also the possibility to Upload pictures from your own computer is gold.

I just made my first journal post with a 3d concept sketch that I made in my free time at the office where I work. This will also be my guidelines for my own project.
you can find it here
