I vote for the 4th color scheme picture (the one right above the UN white). It looks very interesting. Second choice, I'd say the UN white.
Any which way you paint it, it will look cool, as all of these schemes are unusual in modeling circles.

Great tip Jason, and thanks for the correction. So many animals names got me a little confused
Thanks Lucas, vote tallied. As you can see in all the chilean models Iīve presented to the forum, always tried to show the different tones used here. Glad that everybody itīs learning a bit and getting interested in chilean armor through my kits.

I take it the UN white Mowag is one of the Chilean Mowags that deployed to Haiti in 2004?

Thatīs right, they were transported aboard a Newport Class LST shortly after the troops deployed by plane. A friend of mine was on the ship and took some pics, Iīll ask him for some if you want. And an uncle thatīs in the Army (Colonel) was in the first tour there.

Thanks, I would very much like to see some images. I am a big fan of the Mowag 4x4, 6x6, and 8x8 vehicles.

Love seeing scratchbuilding! Keep it up. It only gets easier as you develop your skills.
As for colour schemes, I like the 3-colour scheme on the AAA vehicle, 2 greens and black.

Thanks for your comments Scott.
Now an update. Gave the white, started with detail, added stowage and straps and a few odds and ends. Yet to add more finesse to the detail painting (yet to paint the lights) and more work in the stowage, plus add 2 chilean flags to both sides, as used by this vehicles in Haiti (those will be decals, home made)....donīt kill me, 1st time painting overall white
Cheers

Great work, Klaus! Both on the conversion and on the paint job. I most admit your mk. 1 eyeball is working pretty well. It looks very similar to the pictures you posted.
Next one is the Piranha with the AA turret with double 20mm cannons?
Thanks for sharing your great work

HI
Great job on the finish, worn where it should be.
You may want to add some exhaust staining as these guys spewed out a lot of grime.
Good to see something modern and unique.

Klaus, that looks great. Its seems over time, the field painted white always start to fall off of the vehicle. The weathering of that white paint looks great.
My vote for the second 6X6 is still the turrented one with the 60mm HVMS. I could even help you out with the gun.

Thanks for the support guys, yet to do a lot of work all around, so stay tuned
Jesper, gotta check references before build the AA vehicle with the israeli TCM-20 turret, that one have a different upper hull layout, so itīs a little bit more complicated. I prefer to keep on developing the ability to change the hull, maybe the next attempt will be with the Trumpeter LAV-25 as donor.
Tom, it will have oil spills and smoke stains for sure, but first have to "polish" the paint, itīs a bit crude yet.
Scott, in fact just a cuple of vehicles were built with a 60mm turret, but any reference for the gun are much helpful to build a M50 Sherman.
Cheers

Very nice work on your build and good for you for choosing to do a UN white paint scheme.
But...I think you over did it on the weathering. The image you posted shows no visible heavy weathering like you have depicted. I know it is up to you to weather it as you please. You should try using some dark brown oil paints as pinpoint washes to bring out the details prior to attempting to depict chipped paint. Less is more.
I have another image of the Chilean MOWAG deployed with the UN in Haiti from Getty Images nd other than some road dirt on the lower hull the vehicle looked very clean....no visible chipping at all.
Chipping paint is not easy to do and good for you in attempting it but be carefull with how much you do. I vehicle has to be in service in very rough conditions for a long time or have very bad paint in order for it to chip and wear off as you have done....especially a UN white AFV.
Good attempt and keep up the good work. I hope you give the UN white paint scheme another try with another project.

Thanks Jason, I was staring at the pictures and yes, itīs a bit overdone (the chipping paint). Thatīs why I said before that has to be "polished" yet, nevertheless Iīll keep the line of paint. I thinks it looks a little boring in plain white
Other thing its the actual accuracy of the model. As you saw in the pics, this vehicles only carry one small tarp on the bow, and are fairly clean given the conditions. But again, I took a big amount of modelling liberties to add more stuff to make it look more funny
Iīll follow your advices for the rest of the work, thanks again.
Cheers

No problem, just to let you know that the rolled up tarp on the front deck is fairly small....it is only a cover for the engine grills on the hull when the vehicle is parked for extended periods of time. It is made of black rubber.
