im not sure if this is the right category for what i want, so sorry if it isn't, but any way,

i want to make a ghillie suit for my dragon 1:35th US sniper squad, i was wondering what materials to use.

hi , the answer is very thin strips of wedding veil in varoius lengths and dye them rather than paint with food colouring , you have better control over the colour, glue with wood glue when dry , cheers ian

The foil wrapping in a cigarette pack has some texture to it ,so cut into strips ,painted dry-brushed & applied gives a nice result but I´ve only ever done it to helmets.By the way keep the strips narrow & be patient ...very patient ,you might get a good result.
