Hi Folks,

Well, following on from some feedback from Barry and the timely arrival of some much appreciated parts from Gordon at Cromwell's I'm back as they say.

Fixes. I have moved the conical nut that was in the wrong place, sanded off the rivets on the back for the trailer that are not necessary and started to smooth off the sides of the air intakes. The early style bin have been replaced with the kinky one but my main question is this:

Exhausts; I have added the correct exhausts but they seem to me to be sitting a little too far forward. However the only way to get them more upright would be to remove some of the tools. Does anyone know if they are at the correct angle? They do sit a little forward on the few pics I've seen but I haven't got a good enough photo to indicate if the angle is correct or not.

Any thoughts.

Hi all

the Churchill AVRE at Courselles -Sur Mere is from 26 Assault Squadron, this squadron was the only one with bogies fitted on the rear track guards , it also and I repeat DID not have any vehicle names on there tanks.
All they had shown was the 79th Divisional badge and 1235 white letters on a blue square. This is something which I spoke to two veterans about in great depth, once when we Dug the AVRE up and the when we put it on the plinth where it stands Now.They do not like the name it has.
The other was at a reunion two years ago.
By the way you now need to add the rest of the stowage if you are building the model ha sit came off the LTC, immediately after disembarking the LTC or cleared the high water mark the air intakes were ejected by explosives but not all worked some had to be man handed off.
The stowage on these vehicles at this time is immense for instance , 20 angle iron pickets, mine tape, shovels , picks, other words Engineer Stores also more spares wrapped up.
Some where I do have a list of stowage items.
Hope this helps
Ossie

Hi Ossie,

this ones destined to be 5th Assault Regt and I have a specific home in mind.

Just trying to get it fairly accurate, it's fun build. There will be lots of stowage when I get the spec reasonably right but if you have any pics, lists that might be useful they would be appreciated.

Cheers
