Hi Rob, I'm about to get some JoeFix vietnam plants from MichToy in the states, so will let you know what it's like... and also hudson and Allen ivy and forest litter... But it's the trees you need to spend some time on... Csago is the expert on scratching them - there is an article on here he did - jst look in the "Vietnam" section of Dioramas. I've just made 18 of them from a combination of Verlinden trunks, and Pegasus/Museum models B type Palm tops (3 per pack, available from a couple of e-bay stores) but the tops don't quite look right... if you look at pics of real palms in vietnam, the tops look like afirework exploding, and the top-most fronds shoot up. Mine lay flat.
There are of course other type of tree in Vietnam and a google image search should show you the diverity, but there aren't many kits for trees (convincing ones anyway) big enough for 1/35th so you'll end up having to scratch build them. Or invest tons in an architectural modelled tree (upwards of £40 each!)

Best of luck anyway, and I'll post pics of my palms and the JoeFix plants when they arrive...

Richard
