Can someone familiar with that conflict clue me in as to why Lebanese Forces vehicles are painted light blue?

Was it simply a means of distinguishing there vehicles form the opposing forces who may be using similar equipment or is there another explanation?

I just seems to be a very strange color scheme and I would like to know more about it.
