Hello
I am hoping to build the Tamiya Chally 2 in KFOR spec, but I can't find any pictures, of up armoured chally 2's there. I know i need to remove the dust shields from the up-armoured side skirts, but does anyone know if the front/rear mud guard/dust flaps need to be cut down? If anyone has any information it would be appreciated.
Thanks
Ian

The dust shields did not exist at the time that the Challenger 2s were deployed to Kosovo; they were pretty much brand spanking new for Op Telic. The extended/oversized mudflaps front and rear are part of the dust mitigation kit and would also not be present on a KFOR vehicle.
You should also be aware that the DL-2 armour modules differed slightly for an Op Telic 1 vehicle when compared to a KFOR vehicle. The front most module has an extra bit toward the rear that did not exist until Op Telic 1.
The Concord Assault Journal volume 5 contains a number of excellent pictures of KFOR Challys.
