OK, I just named it that because I just finished reading Ross Schneider's "Siege" about the siege towns of Cholm and Velikiye Luki.
Actually, i finally have a decent camera, and thought I'd post this, as I've been working on it for quite a while. My faces are still atrocious; I think I need to change paints. Does anyone have anything good to say about Vallejo paints??

thats real good, I escpecially like MGer huddling up like that, it really adds a human element to the vignette. And your faces are not that bad, the human face is hard to models anyway. The five O'clock shadow on the guy in the white parka looks good.

vallejo colors are really good i think,,easy to mix and use and it dries fairly quick....i like your vignette, but as constructive critics you should work on your camo skills,,

It looks good, it's like you painted it to look cell shaded, but I'm sure that wasn't what you were going for.
The only thing that I can see is that the shadows are too harsh, too strong, same with the camo. It stands out too much. Otherwise the whole the thing looks great. I like the crushed bucket off to the side too.

Thanks for the pointers guys! Yeah, in retrospect I guess it is too strong. Oh well, it's only my third attempt at really painting figures< next time will be better!!
