Hello everyone,

I am currently building Dragon's SU-100, and have a question.

Would the armor front and sides have a highly textured appearance like the T34 turret, or would they be smoother in appearance?

Thanks,

irish

They would be smooth. Cast components, especially Soviet ones, often have a rough, pitted or uneven appearance, but rolled plate doesn't, at least not in 1/35th scale. On the SU-100, the mantlet, gun housing, and cupola were cast so they can be rough. The rest should be smooth.

Also, look in my SU-100 BLOG at the top of the threads for links to references. Some have very close up shots of the hull texture...you can find your answer there.
