Hi folks,

The WD number on the Churchill AVRE seems to have been followed by a /B, /C. Does anyone know what these designations meant?

Also are there any decals sets for the trunk markings that seemed to have carried a large 1D, 1E type lettering ID on them.

Cheers

Al

Hi Al,
IIRC the letter after the WD number denotes rebuilt vehicles and the reason for the various letter is that depending on what rebuilding was done and/or where the vehicle was rebuilt or manufactured, affected what spare parts were required for that vehicle. It must have been a logistical nightmare.

As for the decals, sorry can't help.

cheers
David
