hello,

for the Italian modellers who can help me!

I'm in vacation in Toscane in the city of Marina di Bibbona.

Are there good and big or small modelshops in the neighberhood?

thanks for helping me out of my vacation concern!

I have always this strange need on vacation toknow and visit the shops in the neighberhood.

There's one in Firenze, mostly a toy shop but with some models. It is on Via Cavour in the historic section of the city. It's not worth going out of your way for - but then, Firenze is the greatest place I have ever been so THAT is worth it !

Not sure if you'll find too many model shops in Italy - an Italian friend of mine says that every time he goes into town, some little shop has closed and been replaced by yet another mobile phone shop!!

ahh,
But there is always a visit to Bologna to visit Italeri models.

I went there back in 2002 and it was a great experience for me to see how models are manufactured.
Not to mention Criel models in the city of Rome .

Both are worth a visit .

If you or anyone ventures down to Sicily .
I strongly suggest to contact Roberto at Royal Models .
To see all the models which are used for the model box art was a real treat

One of the best countries for history and model manufacturers.
not to mention the wine or beer

Cheers
Michael
