Hi Guys.
I've recently bought the above mentioned kit, and while studying the instructions found that a rectangle-like piece of the lower hull (somewhere above the road wheels and below the return rollers) should be cut out. It seems that doing so will leave a glaring hole in the model (which has no interior detail), but the instructions do not specify any option or reason for this step.
I thought this might have something to do with a motorization option, but since the kit looks relatively new I think I must be wrong.
Any ideas?

Hey xspy,
what they mean is that you leave off the escape hatch that is used on DML`s other Pzr.III kits.

Hi
the outline of the escape hatch is on the hull. That vague symbol of a knife blade is supposed to indicate you should scrape off that outline. Later PzIII hulls did not have the escape hatches. I think that change occurred for the L variants and some late Js.
Cheers

Don't change your avatar on my account! There are lots of duplicates out there.
I think there are three of us with the crazy eyed thing.
Your new avatar is pretty popular too!
Keep us up to date on your progress with that kit!
Cheers
