Both Aef designs and Hobbyfan makes EAAK armour for the AAV. Aef seems to be a "hit or miss" product and Hobbyfan costs a fortune.

Hey Todd,
Have you seen Vodnik's reviews (3-4) on the AAVP's with EEAK armor.

EEAK

Hobby Fan is pricey, but quality never comes cheap! Its an outstanding conversion kit, definately the best option on the market unless you want to spend ages scratchbuilding bits. Ive not actually seen the AEF set, but I wouldnt hold your breath. Kirin did one way back which is now OOP, Ive built that and its not very well detailed and the roof panels are solid when they should actually be raised. HF's is an excellent kit and very well detailed, the roof panels are raised like they should be, all the side armor has the correct amount of bolts(problem with Kirin kit) and you even get some other bits useful in updating the Tamiya kit-Correct wheel sprockets with lightning holes, new head light clusters with the anti slip detail and new commander and driver hatches with interior details. Check out lucky model, you can get it quite cheap from them.
