Another AAV7A1 by Dragon, this time it's the MICLIC. My wallet just got lighter again.

I second what Tom said!! Hey, Dragon, there are plenty of folks on this board and elsewhere who would pony up for up-to-date AAVP-7 kits in 1/35th scale, no doubt in multiples sincethere are plenty of variants to produce...

I feel your pain as there are lots of modern items in 1/35 that I would like in 1/72.

Excellent. I'm glad I hadn't started scratchbuilding one for one of the kits that I already have. This will look great in a diorama idea that I've had since watching a Discovery program on the OIF invasion.
As for why not in 1/35 scale, that's a very good question, but I'm happy with 1/72. For years we've had to suffer poorly details kits, while the 1/35 scale guys have several hundred different Tiger tanks to choose from (okay I exaggerate). I just hope Revell and Dragon keep them coming. If Trumpeter follows through on their plans that would be very interesting too. Now if only Bronco Model would do justice to the tank transporters they've proposed I'd be H-A-P-P-Y.

What type of transporters have they announced and are they in 1/72?

Ch
They announced a Russian MAZ537 and a US M1070 both in 1/72 scale. It will probably be a couple of years, if ever, but I can hope!

The MAZ is more along the lines of the FAUN SLT50 type of truck.

I was going to say the same thing, but the USA transporters are definately utilitarian themselves. But I'm very partial to the heavy duty look, square fenders, butterfly hoods and such. The MAZ is just freaky though!
