I know, I can hear the groans!! Sorry, everybody, but I just have to ask this question. I've already built the Panda UH-1D and got the DML VN Helo kit, added a jeep and some gear and c rat cases but now I need to find out if anyone has any ideas about revetments. I plan to put the Huey in an aifield dio, and I know that often the Hueys were parked in revetments on some bases. I'd love to do an main airfield revetment, as opposed to a forward base/sandbag and earth forward base. I've seen a few pics of the helos parked in what looks like steel/alum prefabbed "kit" revetments. Anybody have any suggestions on the best way to recreate this? I know that there's nobody that makes a kit. Heck, I'd even do sandbags if I have to, but really don't feel like putting together the 10,000 individual sandbags!!!
Thanks for your input!

Hi,
i´m interested to buy this new Dragon Vietnam helo from my local model shop. Perhaps you can tell something about the quality of the kit.
For you diorama i would try to find this great old verlinden Vietnam Artillery Gun Position or the other one. Than you would have two bunkers and a fire line with sandbags ready to paint. Than you could create a landing platform from styreene next to the bunkers and some razor wire, a handfull sandbags an so on. If you know the Vietnam movie with Mel Gibson there are some landing places displayed as example. Also you could buy the old italerie or tamiy sandbags and make some silikon copys of it. it´s easier as to creat all by yourself.
Greetings
Stefan

Stefan,
Sorry if I didn't make it clear, I built the Panda UH-1D kit with the DML VN Helicopter CREW set. From what I have heard, the Dragon UH-D is just a rebox of the Panda kit. There are a lot of issues with the kit as far a most of the details (riets, panel lines, interior) but the build up was easy and straightforward. Luckily for me, 99% of the people that look at/buy my models really don't care about or just plain notice those type of things.
Thanks for the help. Auf Weidersehen!
