shooohhh..
finally finished, this is my first attemp building a scene of ruins and rubles.
i used a compressed styrofoam board for the house and coat it with p.o.p.
The ruble is made from a mix of real crushed rocks that i get from a hill on my vacation to a village in Penang. The rocks looks fine because of its shape. It does look like the real thing.

I've cut some styroboard to small pieces and mixed it with the rocks. The coblestone sidewalk is also made from styroboard. U can also see ice cream sticks and matches sticks.

and of course, i used real sand for the land area so its look more real...
then for the figures... well these figures are from Dragon and Tamiya, three battle wound figures are customely reconstructed to get the death and wound effect.

well...check this out

or if u want to see more..just click on the link at the bottom of my post

Thats some great rubble. I use popsickle stics as well. Shave them to get bits and pieces them burn some with a match for that burned look. A better stick are those State Fair Cornny dog ones. They're longer and thinner. Might be a Southern thing thing (USA southern)with the Corny dogs

Bloody excellent dio sicktunez. For your first dio, it is amazing. Some things you have portryed are as good as they get....... layout, grasses, rubble to name a few.
The painting of these is excellent and it is all tied well together. Bravo!

Really (REALLY!) nice work here... good propotions, lots to look at in a small area, and well done execution... no blobs of glue or wierd seams between the head and neck, etc. that are the hallmark of most first dio's. You will only get better from here! Shep Paine - watchout!

This is absolutely awesome! I love the German soldier who is carefully looking from behind the wooden planks. If I were to interpret this I would say he was trying to figure out what killed his comerade who has fallen directly in front of him. I love the feeling of this dio. It is very intense. Great job!

Nice work, very convincing rubble and ground work. Great starting point in your diorama "career". Your wounded/dead guys might look more realistic if their poses were less straight and more fluid, more like they plopped down or were drapped over the ground work rather than were laid out on a gurney. I know it's tough to do using non-jointed figures. I think the greatest difficulty with this impresson is that the back would be flexed and that can't be accomplished without sculpting the figure youself.
