Yes I was wondering if anyone has built this tank before and what they can tell me about it. For an example dose it need to have the anti slip stuff put on, or anything else needed to make it look more real out of the box sinces these kit is a hard to find one. Dose anyone has any pics of the origanly M1's that could help with making refernces to it. I'm thinking about doing the original Thunderbolt sinces I've got a changs to see this one in person about 8 years ago. If anyone has any advice i would be very greatful to hear it on this project.

Um, why start a new thread - couldn't you just add on to the previous question you posted?
The M1 kit wasn't too bad for it's time, depends how nuts you want to go, there is always room for extra detail. For a start, I'd replace the Commander's Weapons Station area with the one from the new Dragon M1A2SEP since it's not used. The Verlinden War Machines on the Abrams has some decent pics.

Yes, that's what I meant. The M1A2 SEP kit has the -A2 CWS of course, yet still comes with the original -A1 cupola which can be used to spruce up the Tamiya kits.
Arkuo14, the new SEP kit does come with 'DS' one piece band tracks, and the guide horns are seperate pieces that you have to attach. These are the 'open' guide horns and may not be suitable for earlier M1A1's. I don't think the newer Dragon kits (AIM/SEP) have any bad fit issues, but some of the teeny parts might not be suitable for beginners.
