Hi peoples
Just a couple of pics to prove that this project is still alive and kicking...

Plenty of small things to do, like detail painting for periscopes, pioneer tools, tiedowns, bucket, stowage and the addition of more stowage items for the rear deck and the glacis... The box was scratchbuilt today, and I only have it in polace there to cover some missing paintwork from a failed attachment of a tarp No biggy, as there will be ample stowage to cover any 'scars'...

Cheers
Brad

Hey DJ most of what you see is oil paint (burnt sienna methinks) dipped in thinners/turps, of what accounts to being a wash ratio. The capillary action makes it travel around angled surfaces with a little help, and then once dry it is quite light. I use it to simulate surface rust from chilly nights or running through rains etc. The remainder is pastel chalk to represent dust which can be applied the same way, but with water. Often if there is a textured surface such as the cast turret, pastel dust can be wetted then really smeared on the turret top and sides, and then wiped with a clean finger to leave it contained in the recesses and 'pitting' effect. Hope this helps!
