Well folks need some help with a kit I picked up today.
Kit is 9029 Dragon Panzer III Ausf H. Is it a good kit? I looked at a bunch of sites and it's like this kit never existed.
Exact wording is PzKpFw. III,Ausf. H
Sd.Kfz. 141
Imperial Series

Thanks

Hi Field Marshall, is this the Afrika one? I don't have this particular kit, but anything DML Pz III is of very high quality. I have their J, M/N, Tauchpanzer, Panzer III G.

All Panzer´s III & IV from DML are very good kits. I have the Panzer IV F2 & Panzer IV J waiting to be build. The fit is Ok, have fine details and I like the tracks because they are link by link.
I´ve built other kits from DML (Dragon) and I´m very happy with them.

Hi

DML put out a couple of PzIIIH kits. One was the artillery observation vehicle. I'm pretty sure all the Hs were artillery or command vehicles. But I could be wrong!

Anyway, aside from some carving of extra detail, odd tool placement marks on the fenders and a lot of little parts, the DML Pz III kits are nice. They are based on the old Gunze chassis etc.

It appears some of those Imperial kits were released, and then have never seen the light of day again!
I bet you could build a G or early J from the same kit.

Cheers
Andy

I think the reason not too many kits of the H have been made is not that it is not a nice kit but is more like the Panzer III that is not an early like a G or not a later model like a J or L ...It's kinda in Limbo...I think it was used as a replacement vehicle (just sent out here and tthere to replace destroyed vehicles) and you can't really say "I need an H because all Pzr III's of Das Riech in 1942 were H's "if you know what I mean...Also they are hard to tell in pictures from a J. So this is my reasoning as to why you don't see many kits built...After saying that I will be buying one as soon as I see it on the shelf!! (to go with my E,G, J ,L,N, and M kits!)

Jeff,
Dragon kit #9029, PzKfwIIIH. Standard Dragon/DML Panzer III kit. Lots of extra parts. The directions show 2 sets of marking/painting. Russia and North Africa. Comes with PE engine intake screens, and the ever popular DML single link tracks.
I built this several years ago, nothing stands out in my mind as particularly difficult about the kit.
I don't think DML/Dragon ran this kit for very long. I really haven't seen it for sale at any shows I've been to. But I have seen it as the "TauchPanzer" and the command version.

I built the H... enjoyed and was impressed with the detail.. I wish I had more skills at the time... But now that I've built a few more models.. I think I can still say that was one of the more enjoyable kits to build!

I have the M/N on the shelf.. which I'm looking forward to.. Although, this time I'm gonna do the aftermarket route at a lil more detail... But I'm sure it would be a nice kit OOB... the other thing nice on those DML's Pz III's is they give you the etch grilles, that's a nice touch!

Thanks for the updates on the kit.
Yes Pipesmoker a lot of extra parts fenders and about half the kit is in blue

Andy yes it is a good looking little kit and another thing that can be added to the upcoming Campaign for June as all H's were up to and including 1941

To Rick and Tuna yes it is one little great Kit wish this guy would of bought more then one if you know what I mean as it looks so lonesome by itself

The poop I did dig up on the Panzer III H was it was supposed to be used for crossing the english channel for attempted invasion of England had all openings covered so it could wade about 15' in water but after that went away they had the deep water things removed and was used in the Russian invasion or Barossa!! to cross small rivers and streams.

If it is the mounts for the deep water are not their SS. Around the turret and stuff looks like a Panzer III G When I get my stuff back up I will post a pic.
Just for you
