Hi gang
I am making a couple of models of BMD-s and BMP-s that have photo-etch tracks and ive never made these before can anyone give me any tips for best results? I need to know what to use for sticking the track to the plastic and the best way to get it to fold right if anyone could give me any advice it would be great. Im building a diorama of battle of Grozny in chechen war!
Thanks in advance

I am assuming 1/72 scale?
Use Cyanoacrylate (Super glue) to attack PE to plastic. Use as little as possible.
Best starting out tools to use are a piece of thick glass and a razor blade (BE CAREFULL) and a good set of Forceps (Tweezers). That should get you started. You love doing PE, after a while you may want to get a hold-n-fold.

thanks for that! Im a bit wary of using cyanoacrylate with plastic though. Do you think epoxy might do it?

First off, that should have read ATTACH not attack. Sheesh.
Second, Superglue is fine for plastic. 5 minute epoxy is stronger, but may be thicker. But use what you are comfortable with.
Conventional wisdom that I have heard says that there are three "glues" that people use, all based more on their preferences:
1. Superglue
2. Elmer's white glue
3. Clear Varnish
Experiment and post pics when done!

In the Navy we used what ever paint we had on hand as well.
