Hi,
Finished this one last week. She was detailed with brass wire, aluminium foil, aluminium tin, some tissue and PE bolt heads. Painted with Humbrols and Citadel Color acryls and weathered with pastel powder. I know that there should be more British water cans in the back and I'll add them when I get some
I hope you like it
Cheers
Greg

Very Nice
I like the turret cover. Thought about it doing it on my cent, but I'm a lazy modeller . Good weathering job too. I see you got the figure. Not all kits have it supplied I hear.
If we see any more cent models, maybe we can make a squadron

Great work Greg, really nice Centurion. I like the sunshade especially, not something you see every day on a tank. The fuel cans on the engine deck all in different shades of colour is a very nice touch too, it adds a sense of realism.
Tell me about the IR searchlight though. Everything I've read, heard or seen about this indicates the lens should be almost black making it impossible to see inside the light. I used a piece of exposed 35mm film on mine to get the effect.
Really great job to depict a dusty, used, in-service Centurion. First rate....!!!!

Thanks for the kudos guys!
Brett, the commander figure was a bonus included only with the first batch of kits, so I was lucky (or quick) enough
Hey, Whole squadron of Cents would be really nice!
Bob, IIRC I've read somwhere that some Aussie Centurions sent to the Nam had regular searchlight with normal bulb fitted . Other than that I've found a photo showing tank in the same configuration as my Cent: uncovered, regular searchlight, reinforced stowage bins and sunshade fitted (actually my cent was modeled after that photo ) The photo came from this site, I belive : http://members.tripod.com/~hydetft/ARSVN.htm
If you dont want to dig through heaps of photos on the site, drop me a note and I'll e-mail the pic to you.
Cheers

Greg
I saw the photo (great site link by the way...) and I stand corrected. My Centurion is a Canadian Mk 11LR with the IR filter. I guess it never occured to me that the light could of course be used as a normal 'white' light...doh. Again, very nicely done.

Thanks for comments Jesper and Erik!
As to the sunshade, the moment I saw a pfoto of a Cent fitted with it, I knew my Cent has to have one LOL

Hey Greg - I can't remember from your previous WIP posts, how did you make the tarp sunshade - was that the foil or tin?

It's a real beauty Greg, very nice model. The Centurion is perhaps my favourite tank and this one's a standout.
