I don't know whether to laugh or cry. I am working on all MAJOR types of Pattons and thought I had collected all reasonable kits (Still hunting an AVLB, but have the old 40th scale M48 version). So question one , actually my only question
How many of these were made?

Steve
There were only a few of these vehicles made. I think about 3 or 4 were made and used

According to Ralph Zwilling's article in Concord's Assault Vol.8, 6 prototypes using M60A3 hulls were buit and tested (some of them had been used in Bosnia) before the Army decided to use M1 hulls instead for the series production...

3 or 4 does not constitue anything above a prototype in my book and I will have enough of a challenge with my CEV conversion to add to my goal. But I learnedsomething out of it so thanks.

I don't know if you are aware of this or not, but Fine Scale Modeler had a nice article on conversion to a M728CEV, including scale drawings. I'm working on one in 1/72 scale based on an Esci kit. I started the conversion too long ago to mention. The article inspired me to finish it, but I still just never got around to it. I think it was in a 1994 issue of the magazine.
