Hello

I was talking to a friend last night and the topic came up about RWS ( remote weapon systems ( stryker style) ) in Iraq. My friend said he had heard that the US is putting this system on some M113's.

I told him that I had heard and seen RWS on Abrams and Humvee's but not on M113.

So, know my question, Is the US Army using RWS on M113 in Iraq? If so, are there any pictures out there on how they are mounted on the vehicle.

Thanks for the help

I've seen something about Canadian M113s with an RWS and Singapore has M113s with a similar Israeli OWS but seen nothing about US RWS plans beyond the M1A2 TUSK(I think).

Kongsberg Defence (Makers of the M151 Protector RWS) has mounted some systems on Norwegian M 113s for trial outs. To my knowledge the M151 is not yet operational on M 113, but I have been wrong before...

Not in the U.S. Army. A small number of rebuilt Canadian vehicles are getting one and there are doubtless other countries that have done it on a trials basis, but that's it.
