Hello!
I'm building Revell's Spah.Pz. 2 Luchs with Eduard PE. I usually paint my models with Humbrol colours because I don't have an airbrush.
My question is: is it a good idea to use a primer on Eduard PE? They are made of brass, but they are also covered with another layer of metal which makes soldering difficult. I don't know about painting...
Thanks for any answer!

My suggestion is make sure it is clean or paint chips off real easy.

A good alcohol rub down.

Plus I would suggest you get an Air brush much better and easy also.

Thanks!
At the moment I sanded all the PE parts I installed on the model and those still on the fret!

Sanding all the PE parts? That sounds like a lot of difficult work. I don't see why you have to do that if you use a good primer. The primer is there to give a good "bite" for your paint and I have never had any problems with primer not sticking to Eduard PE. Be sure to use thin brushcoats when you paint the PE or else you will loose the details.

Thanks, Erik!
I sanded all the parts that were easily reachable, and will spray Tamiya white Primer too!
