Great work! It really turned out well. I think you should add the second VHF antenna as well. I'm not sure but I guess that the TUSK upgrade also will include a EPLRS system? Finally you have mounted all the CIP panels upside down. I have seen tanks with the panels mounted that way but I don't think it is common. All in all a great job. The scratchbuilt Protector is amazing.

Excellent scratchbuilding on the remote 50 cal. How do you feel about the new kit from AFV Club that is coming out for that?

Hope to see you post more!

Love the RWS. Also you have done a great job on the BAR/SLAT armor at the back. Nice and straight. Must have been tricky to keep all those parts aligned.

This is fantastic - what did you use for the lenses of the various sights? The lens on the RWS is particularly effective...

Yes Erik it should be EPLRS systems on the rear. I miss it.
Hi Jim, AFV club's Protector is superb details, and their lens cap is better than mine :-) I also had some mistake on the feeding structure of 50 cal., so I plan to make another M1 TUSK by AFV Club's protector & Dragon M1A2SEP.
To Aaron, RWS lens I heated a clear plastic card by hair dryer, then use an offside of pencil to press a curve shape, cool down and cut off.
Thanks Matthew & Miloslav as well ^_^

Outstanding work there.
A heck of a great build.
Great all around paint job included.
So any more M1's in your stash to show.
A couple of questions.
What color paint?
I like the look and is it Gunze Sanyo?
Any more in progress pics?
The Tamiya tape looks the part
BTW pics saved.
And welcome aboard

Looks great, superb scratchbuilding job! My only nitpick is that the normal ballistic skirts (the first few skirts that are made of a thicker ballistic material) are removed and replaced with thinner skirts made of steel.
See the #1 skirt in the TUSK diagram.

Great job nonetheless!

Looks great. You did a good job on the RWS and the other TUSK parts. It has one other small issue though. on the left side rear, above the 7th roadwheel, there is a small square plate with 4 bolts. This is the intake cover for the UUAPU (Under Armor APU) found on M1A2 SEP tanks, not standard M1A2s. Also, the .50 cal ammo boxes stored in front of the turret BII storage boxes should be dark green. They are ammo boxes for the .50 cal and not permanently attached to the turret.
Good work. A few tweaks and it will be great.

Excellent work, I've never seen that version of the Abrams before. Is the TUSK modification something they currently doing to all referbished vehicles or is it being done for some special unit and/or deployment?

No, TUSK is still in the test phase. There are a few parts of the TUSK that have been fielded, such as the slat armor (for a short time, then it was discontinued due to weight and problems with performing maintenance with it in place), the T-I Phone, and loader's gun shields.

Excellent work. Great scratchbuilding and a very nice finish to the tank. It really makes the M1A2 look different.

Again, WOW!!
Two questions:
What colour and brand of paint did you use?
How did you get the masking tape to keep the shape?

It looks wonderful, what did you use as a reference for your modeling?
What did you use to create the ERA on the skirts? It looks resin.
What did you use to model the bolts on the ERA and the Remote Weapon Station?
Thank you.
