This was brought to my attention via historychannel.com on their WWII forum. It concerns an appeal to raise money to restore to working condition a WWII Tiger tank.

I'm sorry if somebody else has also mentioned this.

The restoration of the Bovington tiger was finished last year. They presented it to selected guests last September,if memory serves ,and it broke down on it's trial run
Hopefully it will be up and running this year and will not break again. As for the appeal i thought it was closed ,but could be wrong?

Yes, the tank is in fine condition now; except, of course, that it broke down on the day of the open house.
Here's a few shots of the tank that were taken by my fellow "Tankshacker" Mark Stucky... he was there for the museum's annual "Tank Day" in 2002.
