Well here are some putting this thing to sleep.
On to the Humvee and the other campaign of getting stuff done that was not finished.
Thanks for looking.
Comments welcome will get better when we do the SEP version.
Totally loaded and plugged.
A big thanks to Gino for the tip on the anti-slip and Lucas for painting ideas. ;-)

really cool model! Although it is a bit clean for my taste, I like the look of something a little clean for a change!
Good Job!

Looks great. I agree that it needs a little weathering, but if that is how you like it, so be it. I see two things that could be improved though. On the .50 cal ammo in the box, there should be a thin, black stripe down the middle of the ammo belt. This represents the links that hold it together. Also, every 5th round should be red-tipped to represent a tracer round.
Like such, (all ball and no tracer belt).
Also, the antennas and their bases, should be dark green, not black.
Good job. A few tweaks and it will be great. Gotta love them Abrams, especially 3ID ones!!

Thanks for the heads up Gino.
Have a few .50 rounds laying around wanted to buy a .50 cal target rifle but for the $2500 said no and the weight.
Do you think we can let it slide this time as an ex Army person I err kind of left that stripe out but can put it on.
Green you say Good Golly Miss Molly not repainting them things.
What color OD green or darker?
Can't remember that green but will do Gino.
Putting it on the list now.
Thanks for all the help.
Really saved me a bunch now their is this Darn Bradley waiting in the wings.
Hey I just got an idea Bradley's were in the 3 Division so could I make one up or they were not assigned to the same units.
So can we call on you for the Humvee that comes up next?
Yes can't wait to get on that SEP.

Yea, I guess I can forgive you on the ammo belts, but don't let it happen again....
For the antennas, Model Master Dark Green is good.
For the Brad, yes, Bradleys and Abrams were task organized together in 3ID. 3-69 AR (as your M1A1 is marked) belonged to 1st BDE, which had 2-7 IN and 3-7 IN assigned as well. There would have been a tank Co in each of the Infantry Bns and two Bradley Companies in 3-69 AR Bn. Further, each Co would be task organized with a PLT of tanks (IN Co) or Bradleys (AR Co) in it. Also, 2-7 IN had Bn ID# in the 10 series and 3-7 IN had 20 series Bn ID#s. Lastly, neither of these Bradley units had side storage racks. Only 2nd BDE (3-15 IN) vehicles from APS5 in Kuwait, had the locally made storage racks on them. That should get you started.
Let me know what you need to know on the HMMWV. I'll help where I can.
My SEP is in the mail too. I should have it early next week. Can't wait to get it in my grubby hands!!

Wow--your Abrams turned out great, Jeff! The details you added certainly made it look far more visually interesting.
Have you finished your OIF Campaign entry yet? If I remember correctly we were both working on M113s. Mine is gathering dust at the moment as work has been really busy the past two weeks. I'm hoping to finish it off after I get back from a business trip in another two weeks.
After that, I may break down and join you in building the SEP!

That one turned out nice Jeff. I especially like the way the optics looks. Good work.

This was my entry Lucas.
No M 113's for me.
Business trip gone for 2 weeks hope it is near an Ocean.
So on to the Humvee.
Good idea Lucas maybe a Sep campaign
As long as it is about 8 months
As long as it will take me.
Thanks again Gino.
Now a little fib err those antenna are green Gino must be your screen
Afraid to touch those darn antennas as they must of broke off about 6 times.
Note to self apply antennas last.
Last time it almost went for good.
Carbon fiber has a lot of spring to it.
Thanks to you also Eric.
Well took care of Gino's two things.
Green antenna

That's right, Jeff! I forgot that you decided to switch entries to an Abrams when the campaign started up.
I hear you about the antennas. I installed mine at the very end, but even then I had a couple of close calls where I almost popped them off.
