Like all the dios I see. I am amazed at the detail that is captured, but this one made my jaw drop.

That is very impressive. Everywhere you look there's more and more detail. I would take an hour just to look at it.
That is diorama building on a grand scale.

Yes, the question of transportation. If it's inseveral pieces, he's done a good job of hiding the seams.

I feel sorry for the other peopel present at the show you can not compeet against that, it is obvious that the man has a lot of free time. IT IS A GREAT DIO so much details. But saying quote :

Maybe. From the photos, this is majorly impressive, but the pics don't get in close to see the fine details where a judge would be looking. I've seen some huge dio's that look great from ten feet away, usually because of their size,but the devil is in the details.
Since I may never see this job up close, I'll enjoy what I can see and revel in the great work this looks to be.

Though I'm very fond of dio's.....I think this a bit too big for me..... My wife would go mad.... :-)

To me this is pretty impressive as well. This must be some sort of lifetime dream for most of us build something so grand! what a talent!

Must admit that is GRAND.... in fact, what really mpreses me are all the really HUGE dioramas, like the LEGACY dio by Bob Letteman, and things like this as well... think what a GREAT time that guy had building this!

Wow! What an awesome display. I am getting an idea of a massive diorama using all of my Verlinden buildings for a WWII scene that can take up a wall of my workshop. I'm just not sure I want to invest the hours. It would be fun though.

This might be part of a train layout. It's 48th scale and I saw the familiar 3 track Lionel. Not to take away from it's impressiveness by any means. Have you ever seen any of those large club layouts....they build a lot of them in modules and there are lots of people working of them and it takes many years. 20 yers ago I saw a story in a train magazine were a group of guys bought an old bowling alley and built a humongous train layout. Trust me those train layout guys build massive amounts of scenery on a grand scale.
