Ive seen the box art image before, but it doesn´t hurt to see these again. Love the poses and also the dynamic artwork.
One thing Masterbox could do to improve their pitch, would be to put some extra effort into their figure painting, to show their built items ala Miniart. Even the positioning of the guy dragging out the injured tanker looks weird and detracts from the reality of these figures. With both companies releasing awesome figures, Masterbox come in second when it comes to presentation!!
Take a lookat the Miniart Homepage / gallery / 1/35 WWII Military minatures to see what I mean.

Thanks for the link Frank..Didn't know they had finished figure images.Just what I needed...
I'm busy with Miniart's 'German tank crew,winter..'. I'd removed the 5 heads from the sprue for painting and was struggling to work out which head was for which figure again..
and your right, Miniart's finished figure work does seem of a better quality.

The box art on Masterbox is excellent, wonderfully painted, I just wish the figures inside matched up to the artwork.

Don't get me wrong, I think the figures I've seen are as good as "Non Gen 2" figures from Dragon in most respects, but the great poses, natural stances shown on the box does not seem to make it through to the figures.

This is of course the case with most sets, not just Masterbox ones, it's just the illustrations are so inspiring and good looking that the actual models themselves come across as a bit of a let down when you open up the box.

Having said that from the pictures above they look some of the closest I've seen to the box illustration.

I agree, the Masterbox figures are a real mixed bag. The "German captives" set is very good. But others, well, I am not sure yet. I will pick these up and see.

Hey guys,
Art always transcends reality.
Other than box art that actually shows the completed figures, a'la Accurate Armour, Jaguar, Resicast, Ultracast, Verlinden, Warriors, etc........., what you actually get can always be a bit of a "crap-shoot".
The art work is wonderful, the figures look promising, the poses are animated and the set is bound to be relatively cheap because it's plastic and not resin.
Hopefully Master Box and it's Eastern European competitors will keep up the good work, their products should only improve with experience.
Cheers

The Masterbox and Miniart figures really are of outstanding quality and the subjects and poses are unique. I like them a lot.
