Hi
I am building a dio of an AS90 and its crew in Iraq during the invasion of 2003. I have positioned everything already and so the tank and motorbike can not be moved as they are in tracks in the plaster base, however on looking at the positionng of the figures I feel that they do not look right. Therefore any help would be most appreciated, also do you think anything needs to go in the emptier spaces. Here are some pics:
Cheers, Nick

I'm no modern armor expert by any means so I ask this more as a question than a critique. Would the crew have turned the turret so far to the left given the fact that the scene looks fairly relaxed. I understand during a battle the need to retarget would be done with the turret, given time to pull up and position the whole vehicle would it be better to have the vehicle straight on to the target?
What may be happening is that the flow of the diorama is "down and out". High center everything else flows out and that brings your eye to edges where there is less to see.
If you turn the turret to the right, lift the tarp test and connect it to top of the side armor and lift the outside edge also. Use some poles to elevate it. Or if you want to keep it down as if they are just starting to put it up you can reposition the figures at the corners with poles laying down with loop of rope and stakes, maybe a sledge hammer. These will fill the space and give your eye something to look at.
Just some thoughts, I do like seeing the modern stuff.

Hi guys thanks for that input.
@ arkuo14, unfortunaley all the pictures I have seem to suggest that the AS90's were positioned in the middle of nowhere, so unfortunately no palm trees, thanks for the comments though
@ Slodder. The reason I have positioned the turret like this is that I thought that tehy would have a specific target area (say a town or somewhere) and they were taking a break during barrages? With regards to the tent, it is actually supposed to be secured to the top of the armour, however as nothing is glued yet it seems to have slipped when the photos were taken (also, you may not be able to see it, but there is a strip of plastic next to teh outside edge, this is ment to be supporting the 'tarp' on top of it.) I will move the turret around and see what happens.
Watch this space!!
