Just looking at the proposed new release from Dragon (DAK)in my estimation Dragon have been the leaders in producing quality affordable figures for the modeller .More so recently with the Gen2 figures. But I do think they are becomming a bit complacent it seems that not a lot of thought is being put into the animation of these figures and we are ending up with German four figure sets two of which are the obligitory prone mg 34/42 groups come on take a leaf out of MB,Miniart,ICMs book youve got the quality put some extra thought into the content.

Regards to all Phil

While we're on the subject of originality, this is the third (fourth if you count the Ramcke Brigade paras) DAK set they've done, and still we have no decent plastic 8th Army figures in 1/35! Even some Italians to go with the recent Italeri vehicles would make a change from their seemingly endless string of Germans. After all, the DAK didn't have the desert all to themselves.

Your dead right Geoff but I didnt want to kick off not another German release debate, as I mentioned before Dragon are losing the march to other manufacturers who have their fingers on the pulse and are more diverse with their subjects.

Italeri has produced more Desert Rats and Italians than DML and those sets are out of production. While we're at it,how about some other Commonwealth troopers such as SA or India? A few nomad bedouins wouldn't hurt either. That way we wouldn't have a money fight on evil bay for the old Heller kits!
