Looking at some ref photos and previous build pics of other renditions, is it fair to say parts D26,27 are for engine carburation air intake?Academy notes D27 to be painted 'red brown'. Also, for early editions of M51's,were they equipped with the searchlight? A lot of pics show no light but it is unclear from them if there is a stowage box somewhere on board for it.
Trying to do this build as Six-Day War combatant. Any help or tweaks list links greatly appreciated.

Thanks Gary. That thread did not show up when I searched site with google.Yes, my second guess to those parts was exhaust for later varient.Yes, I know diesels do not have carburaters,but the act of performing a fuel/air mix for an internal combustion engine is called carburation in the vernacular.
