This one looks really interesting Bill i am looking forward to the build up, any chance you will be adding this to your BR52 dio

Ron,

I'm sure many will be tempted to do that, but mine is "fixed" since I constructed my own railbed and not able to take a modular addition like this without a lot of modification (that and the fact that the current dio is already 5 ft. in length. I'm not a Reichsbahn expert, but I believe for this to be matched up properly it would need to be fitted to an armored version of the BR52.

Hi Bill, just a bit of info for you, your right in that the Panzerjagerwagen should be matched up to an armoured loco, but this was the BR57 type, or correctly the Panzerlok Baureihe 57, I wont get boring and explain the differences between the two (unless you want me to that is?).
In your review you mention that this release is vol 1 so you expect another variant to follow, this is also correct as there was two distinct types of these wagens, variations occurred in the "hull" part.

I await your build review with great interest as I have plans to build a full BP44 armoured train at some point, I've been steadily colloecting refs and bits & pieces for the task....

After conducting a full-scale heart-and-brain transplant on my PC today, I'll be able to post up the first progress on the build a little later on.

No worries Bill, as Trumpeter are already doing the two variants of the Panzerjagerwagen I think it is highly likely that the whole train will follow, I'm just hoping the next release will be the tank carrier that is seen on the box art......

I hear you about the tank transporter, I can just envision an entire wall setup to take the whole train!

By my reckoning you'd need a wall over 3 metres long to do that.....
