Good job with a difficult kit. I like it so far, nice and simple. Some more weathering on the tank would look nice, but I'm sure you've already thought of it.

Hi Guys, Finished the base and groundwork for this little dio. Heki grass was used for the groundwork and a new roof and some shutters were added to the old Verlinden Russian barn piece. A few shrubs were added as well as a small pile of rubble and a Russian propaganda poster. Just need tp do the figures and a little more weathering and this one will be on the shelves

Looks good and your photography is good too! The grass looks fine, although perhaps needs breaking up a little bit.

Nice job.
How did you do the thatched roof? My next dio is going to have a Russian farm house just like that.

Thanks for the kind words guys
S.B. the thatched roof is made with something called raffia. I found it in the dried flower esction at Hobby Lobby. It comes in a bundle like yarn. You just cut it to the length you want and glue in place with white glue. It looks a lot like straw when you first put it on. I then stained it with several washes to give it that weathered look.
