is it possible to replicate puddles of water after rain in an urban setting?

there are several products available in aa wide variety of prices, some from hobby stores and some others from craft stores normally not intended for model use, i would first check into woodland scenics a site usually used for train accessories but the items can be used for modeling. after that look in a local craft store for a couple of items called Mod Podge, and Omni-Gel. these are sold to coat old paintings, but if used according to the water effects directions from woodland scenics it gives as good of a result at a lower cost to you...
hope it helps, here is the woodland scenics link,

the others are at craft stores

I have an article somewhere where the maker used Vallejo Water.
He got excellent results.
I will make a photo of it and post it here asap (tomorrow)

Just drip Future floor wax straight from the bottle until it spreads to the size you want. It will dry shiny and wet looking. Makes a good puddle.

You can even go with some two part epoxy. Test it first to make sure your brand dries clear and doesn't shrink.
All the above ideas are great too.

I used the Woodland Scenics resin gel stuff. It works great and is really easy. Its a little expensive but will last a long while.

I use and sell a product from Vallejo called Still Water.....and it is designed for exactly that, still water, puddles, and such.
They also have a product for running water, although I haven't tried it, I have no idea what the difference between the 2 are.
