Hi I'm building another Italeri m4 this time its the m4a3 76w yet another bargain basement offering that I got nice and cheap on ebay. With a bit of detailing from Aber and some elbow grease I've got it to a bit of a more detailed standard.
thanks for taking a look
Jon

Nice detailing. However, it looks like you've sunk the pistol port too deeply into the turret side. The housing actually bulges out on the real deal.

That M2 .50 cal is gorgeous. Who makes that brass set?

Hi John very good work and it's a shame to let the pistol port spoil it. If you can cut out the hatch and fill the space with plastic card glue the door on top and build up the surround with putty. Here's mine on my M4A1

thanks for the comments guys - the .50cal is part of the Aber etched set, which contains more parts than you shake a stick at. My .50cal doesnt even use them all because frankly you could spend a full build detailing the gun alone!
the pistol port is glued into its kit position so I guess I've fallen foul there. I can try and wrestle it out. I have pics of several t23 turrets and I still missed it I'll pack the port itself out higher and then build up the frame with putty as suggested.
I also have to adjust the rear brushguards a little - and add a thousand little weld lines with putty. Since the pics were taken I've also drilled out the pickaxe head, which I'm surprised noone spotted lol
watch this space...
