Just to saying hello with my first post ...
I have been building 1/35 models since i was a youngster but nowadays i´m too busy with other stuff (collecting WW2 US Army items and driving around in my 1/1 scale jeep) so i gave a older and damaged 1/18 scale danbury mint Jeep model to a fellow of mine for repainting and building up a small vignette / dio to place the jeep on my desktop ...
i´m interested in WW2 USMC issues as well so i asked him to add USMC markings ...

Simply stunning, are those real hinges on the bonet?
I will own a 1/1 Jeep one day it's one of my personal goals, in the meantime, I will just have to stick to building smaller ones.
Here's my latest testiment to the legend, though I haven't added the steering wheel to this one yet!:
Keep up the good work
Stuart

Bonnethings are working ...
the whole model is a metal-casting manufactured by danbury - no extra detailing was necessary (expect adding chains / helmet / rifle aso) to bring out such a nice model ...
concerning Jeeps: i already ow one taking part on reenactment events regularly - driving a WW2 Jeep is lots of fun - highly recommended ...
btw: like your Jeep model as well ...

Sweet piece there Thomas! Looking real good!
I sure wish I could get a WW2 Jeep as well, soemday though I will make my dream come true!!
My father in law is already working on finding a reasonably priced one over in the U.S.
As of right now though, all I can dio is be jealous of people who already have one.
You mentioned you are in a reenactment group. Do you guys have a homepage? I would be very interrested in joining one too. Problem is, I live in Austria,...
One more thing, you also mentioned you are collecting WW2 gear etc. I have something that might of interrest to you. Shoot me a PM if you're interrested.
Guten Abend,
Heli
