Hi
I was wondering if anyone has any pics of the 1st Northamptonshire Yeomanry during WW2. I am planning a few builds of armour from this (my local) regiment however the only pictures I can find are two on the iwm site. Thanks for any help in advance Nick

Hi Nick,
Check out IWM site there are some pics there as best I can remember. I built my first two Shermans as 1 NY.
I have a listing of the vehciles including the LVTs they convertied to during the Rhine Crossing. If you'd like a copy PM me your email address and I'll send it along.
I'll check to see if I have some pics for you.
Cheers
Al

I was in Northampton recently (my home town) and took my kids to visit a museum there. Quite a large portion was dedicated to the Northamptonshire Regt (not sure about the yeomanry). Not sure about the specifics as the children were more interested in getting ice creams so we kind of rushed through. P.M. me if you want the details of the museum as they probaly have an archive full of photos.

Hi Nick and Robbo,
I sent a copy of the listing to the museum at the time I compiled it. They said it would be possible to visiti their archives and also recommended a good book on 1NY at the time.
Unfortunately I haven't made the journey yet and a PC crash whiped out my original contact. If you make a visit nick I'd be interested in any new info that comes up.
Cheers
