I found and bought this set for a pretty good price on eBay. I have seen the HF show pics of the split AAVP7A1 showing the finished interior. Does anyone have any pics of what exactly comes in the kit? I can't seem to find a parts break-down listing. I seem to remember seeing a picture that showed a new gunner's turret and some other external parts. Does anyone else have or remember these pics?

Thanks.

Disregard. I found it.

Can't wait to get the set. It looks great. Now I will have all I need to build a super-detailed OIF AAVP7A1 RAMS/RS ( Tamiya kit, Blast RAMS/RS running gear and track, Mini Hobby/Trumpeter EAAK armor, HF interior, and plans for the new RAMS/RS exhaust).

Hi Gino

I'm sure you won't regret it ! The set even includes decals for the interior stencils and placards, and tinted clear resin parts for the vision blocks (but no PE parts)...

Great buy, Gino!!!

I had never seen this before in my hands, but the pics donīt lie!

This is a set that could be released by other casters... and in a more friendly price

Bye and tell us your impression when it arrives.

Hi Marcelo,

Your above statement bothers me a great deal. To quote exactly:

Quoted Text

This is a set that could be released by other casters... and in a more friendly price

People who steal others work and sell it as their own for their own profit is a bunch of low life scum, criminals in their own right. And for you to come here and say that hopefully someone else will recast it and sell it cheaper is completely bizarre. If you are a modeller of ethics you will stay as far away from recasting theives as you can. When people steal others woerk, like you are suggesting, it does nothing but harm the market, companies make less money, and will eventually quit making sets like these beacuse these low life idiots are stealing their hard work.

Gino,

I appologize for jumping in here, but Marcelos response is mind boggling. Although I guess he is in with "Electric Productions" who are based out of Brazil and conduct an illegal business where they copy Wolf figures, Jaguar etc and selling them as their own products.

As part of the business end of our great hobby, few things piss me off like recasters...

No problem Anders. That statement struck me as funny too. I too dislike recasters who steal products and sell them as their own. Usually at an inferior quality as well.

No no no!!!! I was misunderstood!!!!

I ment other resin caster as resin makers!!! Making his own interior!!!

Sorry for the confusion, but as english is not my first language, sometimes a phrase can be misunderstood!

Iīd never came here to support any piracy, ok?

By the way, you donīt know me, sir and itīs ok. But please, just for your knowledgment, Iīm with NOBODY and only with legal modelers. I was just sugesting to any other LEGAL casters to make his own NEW set, as many others do similar sets for the same model.

Iīm realy sad to see your comments about me

But, Ok. As I was misunderstood I think you could be too. Now... to compare everybody in a country just because I live at the same place??? My country is almost as big as yours and I didnīt supose to compare you with anybody (legal or ilegal) just because you live at the same place...

I wait for your appologies.

Bye,

Marcelo

Thats a bit Harsh Anders! Marcelo is a good bloke and has done a great deal for us modern armor fans with all the printed products he has produced and on many occasions happily given away for free. To say he advocates this criminal activity becuase one Brazilian company produces resin rip offs is unfair and unreasoned. Whilst I understand you anger and passionate feelings about those who produce rip offs, its not fair to have a go at Marcelo for a simple language misunderstanding. He does stuff for the company Real model, so im sure is well aware of the implications of fakes and im sure certainly wouldnt advocate it.

Anyway....

Marcelo-AEF designs produce an interior set but ive only ever heard bad things about them. You can actually pick this kit up quite cheap from Taiwan, if you ever want one drop me a line I know someone out there who might be able to a do a deal. This set sure looks nice, ive got the EAAK set and its outstanding!

Hola Marcelo and Rob,

You are right sir, I do not know you! However, based on your comment it was easy to draw the conlcusion that you supported a recast of the kit at a better price. English is my second language as well, so I understand how mistakes can be made. I am happy that this was one of those occasions as recasters are the scum of our hobby who feeds off of other peoples hard work and money.

Based on the initial posting, I do not feel that the first part of my post was un-reasonable, but I am very happy that it was a misunderstanding!!

For me to include Marcelo as part of Electric Products was unfair and un called for, and for this I appologize. My blood just boils when I see something about recasters, and when it seams like some one is supporting it makes it even worse. Once again, I appologize for this part.

Hi Anders,

Nothing is as good as a chatting to keep things clear. I know my first message let double - or worst, one bad - interpretation. But I keep my words of the sencond answer as my real intention posting that comment.

Sure I accept your appologies and let make this incident a point of reflection, that shows us that nothing substitute a good real conversation, specialy surrounded by many kits and having a lot of fun with our hobby.

Bye and all the best,

Marcelo

Hi Marcelo

I understood your message and had thought the same thing. It is not a cheap kit but it does have heaps of resin parts.

I thought someone else, maybe Hard Corps Models, was in the process of producing some AAVP conversions/upgrades. Hopefully cheaper than HobbyFan.

I've heard that HobbyFan kits are somewhat cheaper if sourced directly from Taiwan.

Lucky Model sells the Hobby Fan AAVP7A1 interior set for about $100, and the EAAK armor for about $50. Still pricey, but a lot cheaper than in the U.S., and shipping is free.

I just ordered the EAAK armor package from them--I'm eagerly awaiting it.
