I'm lookink for what is exactly written on the metal ammo boxes for the Browning 0.50 to be put on my M47, can anybody help?
I cannot manage to remember it ... quite likely I'm getting old

MAn!!! You really are going for super detail...it's been a long time but it would say something in the effect of ammo .50 calbre M-2 ball and tracer and it would be painted yellow. I'm sure Sabot will get you more accuracy when he reads this

Thanks very much everybody for your help. Armorama it's a real "gold mine" for the modeller!!! Tomorrow I'll print the decals to put on the ammo box on my on-goin M47 (pics of it can be found in this post https://armorama.kitmaker.net/forums/9091&page=1) that is almost finished.
