I have seen conflicting references to this vehicle, some saying it never got past prototype stage and others that 40 were issued to a reserve panzer corps in France in 1943.

Which is true, if either?

Secondly, does anyone know where I can find plans of this vehicle?

Given that it was Germany's only designated airborne tank, I am surprised it hasn't attracted more attention.
