I'm building a couple of M4s form the above regiment. On page 31 of British Sherman Tanks it show the turret markings as being bold white letters, pics being taken 8th July 44.
In British Tanks in Normandy page 69 it shows tanks of this unit with the Red/White turret markings again taken 8th July. However, on page 71 and 72 it shows tanks form this unit again with the bold white markings!!
Anyone throw any light on this?
I don't really like the red/white marking I used and was thinking of changing them! I have an M4 Mk I and an M4 Mk I Hydbid.
Numbers seem to range from the 20's up to the 60s. Would the Red/white jobs have be HQ Tanks? Their numbers are 17, 18 etc???
