I thought about combining my interest in PlayStation 3 and my new hobby of military models, by building a diorama influenced by a scene or location (without aliens of-course) from the popular PS3 console game Resistance:Fall of Man.
I don't mean trying to replicate exactly scenes from the game, but perhaps mainly getting ideas for battle damage to buildings other ruins.
Has anyone else thought about this?

Yes, I have although not with Resistance but other games. The thought has crossed my mind while playing other games like Company of Heroes, Battlefield 2, Blitzkrieg....... I'm sure one day I'll be inspired enough to do it.

The reason I ask, is that many games of this genre, in particular RFOM are full of scenes of battle damage to get inspiration from. I am currently thinking of building my first diorama, but am not sure what scene to do and how to go about it.
