Great one Al. I really like the look of this'n, and the timber finishes on the croxes/bates and the reaning clods are super. Could be a trick of the light, but do the tracks seem to hang a touch off square from the rear in the last pic?

Definitely do so Steve! Then you don't post your scale, and people ooh and ahh and then you say casually "Well it's in 1/48th also, you know..."

Hey Alan.
Once again you've built a winner.
Nice touch with the staining of the wooden tool handles and crates.
One question though, was the Firefly's loader's hatch able to be propped up like that or did it lay flat like the loader's hatch on later model "high bustle" Sherman turrets.
Or maybe you're going to have it held open by a loader?
I look forward to see what crew figures that you'll be using on this one, maybe the new Ultracast BD's?
Cheers

Hi Steve,

Many thanks for the feedback, glad you like it. I'd agree with Brad post your stuff in British Armour lol, lol, building in 1/48 takes some skill.

Hi Brad,

As always thanks for your comments. There are a couple of things going on with the back of this one that have been driving me mad for some time The shadow caused by the painting is deceptive but having taken this apart and re assembled it, I've finally twigged that one of the air filters is just a fraction lower than the other, lol, lol. That and the paint effect give it a wierd and unbalanced look from behine. It shouldnlt be too difficult to fix but I kept thinking there was something wrong with the alignment of the upper and lower hull. Sometimes you can't see what right infront of your eyes

Hi John,

Not sure about the hatch, I thought they were on a spring like fixing but Brad would most likely know. There will be a crewman in the hatch anyway holding the top but it's a good point and one I'm not sure on.

Thanks for the feedback folks, much appreciated.

Don't know about this statement, Al! Regardless, I thought it had a prop and stood at approx. 45 degrees to the hull... I'll try and dig up some edivence...

Great job Alan, I like the dust - up you've given er hull and turret. The stowage also looks the part, not overdone. Not sure about the hatch but I'm sure Brad will find some snaps, I'm looking also.

Hi Brad,

Yip, there's a tiny PE part for the gunners hatch and it seems they sit at about that angle, or if I'm wrong them so are a few others.

Correction to vehicle designation.

Hi Guys

Apologies this should have read M4 Sherman Ic Firefly and not Vc - my mistake

If any of the staff pick this up would you be so kind as to amend the heading.

Cheers

Al
