Hi All

I am going to start on Zvezda/Italeri's BM-13 Katusha and has a number of questions that I hope somebody can help me with.

1) I understand that the kit represents a post WWII vehicle that was not used in WWII. Is that correct?

2) Does anybody have any information on other countries that used this vehicle? What markings and camouflage where used?
I only know of Egypt and the Soviet union, but there is bound to be more - hopefully some colourful ones instead of just green or whitewash or sand

The Italeri kit is indeed based on a post-war model of the BM-13.

Thanks, Jacques. I will probably settle for an overall green Egyptian BM-13 with badly scratched sand coloured paint painted over it.

I'm also building a Katyusha. It's the Alan one. It does not have any color instructions for the rockets. Does it say in the Italeri instructions if they are grey or silver?

Oh, and would anyone know how were the rockets attached to the rails and how were they ignited?

Thanks!

I have the Russian instructions from the Zvezda kit. It does not say about the colour of the rockets.
However, I have a few pictures of rockets and rockets being loaded onto the rails. I will have a look and post the pictures if they are any good.

I will consider a build blog for this vehicle although I am building it for the "Finish your build" campaign.

I found some pictures on the net. They might be of help - especially on the details of the launcher and the colour of the rockets.
