I just saw on LuckyModel that Legend has released a stowage set for the Stryker. I don't know which kit this is for, (Trumpeter/AFV Club) has anyone seen a review of this? Is it just a reissue of other stowage sets combined? I am not sure if it is MOLLE but other than the assualt pack, most of the gear should still be OK.

It's too bad these are ALICE packs. Other than that, it looks like a very nice set. It seems keyed for the Trumpeter kit, but I'm betting it won't be that hard to adapt to the AFV Club kit especially since many parts seem to be loose instead of molded in a big block.

Just have to add that Strap set up looks to be a hair puller.
But does look great.
Yo Lucas how is that M-113 coming along

Looks like an expanded version of the LAV-25 set I have (currently on the bench: very nice, except for the fuel cans).... a shame that only ALICE packs are included, but since I bought it for use in some chilean vehicles, not really worried.
I guess it is still useful, looking at the pics I can see some very nice (new) features: MRE boxes, spare wheel, straps and the amount of items included.
In my opinion (and based on my own set, very similar), the price itŽs fair given the number of parts included and the quality of the pieces. I can use a set like this to dress up 2 or 3 chilean vehicles....
For my Strykers (yes, I have 2, both brands ) IŽll wait to see what is the offer of Real Model...
Thanks for the info.
Cheers

Ditto on the ALICE packs. The MRE items are very cool. Nobody ever models the boxes opened.
I'm not sold on the cargo net. I can't tell if the depicted item is one piece or two. In general, the cargo net is smaller (and there are two), but I THINK it can be expanded to be larger using straps that are attached to the netting, but I am not sure exactly. Maybe guys like Gino or John Charvat or whomever could say. The WWP book has some great details shots of the cargo net, and show how complicated it really is. Eduard is coming out with a strap set that includes two nets and they have the added straps that go on the top of the net, like photographed in the WWP book.
Lots of stuff on this set! I agree this could be used for two vehicles instead of trying to cram it all on one kit.

Klaus--no wonder it looked familiar! I also have the LAV set, and I took a look at it--there are definitely some parts that are common (but not all).
Jeff--the M113 is still going at a snail's pace, unfortunately. It's been a long, busy summer at work for me, but I hope to get a lot done over the Labor Day weekend.

Hi Lucas, IŽll bet that Legends is using the same parts in different sets, only adding a couple of specific parts for each different vehicle (looking this set and the ones for the M113, Bradley, LAV-25 and Humvee).....BTW, very nice build of the olŽbucket
Robert, do you know if all the Strykers are using that cargo net? looks like a pain to build...thanks in advance.

I'm most familiar w/ the ICV and RV. They have them. I think it is a basic item for all the variants, but that would be just a matter of checking out photos. If you are asking if you can leave it off, you sure can. If nothing loose is carried on the roof most of the time the nets would be stowed away. I have seen MREs on the roof and a single strap used to secure them (from the roof rail behind the squad leader/TC to the roof rail next to the air guard hatches).
There still are more items coming for the Stryker from various fronts. I'm not at liberty to say just now, but if you are doing the Stryker you will not be at a loss for extra items - and most of these extras can be used on any modern US vehicle. Slat from Eduard is no secret, and the price I believe will be reasonable, considering what a basic PE set sells for. So, we can really go all out now and have a correct depiction - and cool ones too!

Thanks for the answer Robert, I think IŽll pass with the net, at least in these first 2 builds glad you told me!
IŽve been gathering some stuff to dress up a little my Strykers. Resin wheels and PE suspension covers (Real Model and Voyager for both) and AFV Club RWS for the Trumpeter. ThatŽs why I was first interested in this stowage set and getting ready to see what alternatives I have to make it more or less accurate. Not a big fan of extensive PE, but I guess IŽll give the Eduard slat a try for my 3rd one.
Cheers
