I seem to remember an older Verlinden figure of a modern British? tank crew in NBC gear. Am I going senile at 31 or did really make this?

Noel - I've just leafed through my old Verlinden catalogues.

I don't have them all, but the 1997 one lists Kit No. 0574 "US Army Desert Storm CBR Outfit" (comprised of two 1/35 Scale standing figures).

This is the closet thing I could find to what you're asking about, and it was no longer listed in the most recent Verlinden catalog that I have (the 2006 issue).

There is also KIt No. 0675 "British Tank Crew 80s - 90s Gulf War", which was likewise listed in 1997 and was still in production in 2006. Wearing normal tanker gear though - not NBC.

I couldn't find any British figures in NBC gear, nor do I recall Verlinden ever making such figures, so I suspect that a combination of these two sets is what you remember!

Verlinden also did a single 120mm US Desert Storm figure wearing NBC garb (likewise still available in 2006).

Verlinden certainly made a US Army tank crew in NBC gear - I have it lurking in a box somewhere - but I don't recall a similar Brit set...
